It seems like Mr. Blair has left office without a good popular appeal. As the news reported, the cause was due to his "too much affective" relationship with Mr. Bush. All in all, at the end of the day, one's mistakes attract more attention than a couple of right doings.
The major issue in Britain nowadays is the war in Iraq - more specifically, the post-war period. The mistake was that too much attention was given to how to win the war and too less attention to how to rebuild the country after the war was over. The first task was simply accomplished, while the second is still tormenting both British and American governments.
What really caused Mr. Blair to step down? Probably it was the popular pressure against his policies in Iraq. That change in leadership shows up one of the great qualities among UK population: they are quite pragmatic. If it is not working the way we want it, let's change it - someone might say. Although not quite revolutionaries as the French people, they do know how to get things done. Step by step, based on custom and tradition, British people find their way through any difficult. If it is not too clear what to change, they simply change the prime minister. The new prime minister, despite his opinion about the war in the Middle East, is not all that different from the former. He's just stepped up to do it a little differently and, perhaps, to make a difference. The British way!

Blog - Beginning
This is the English version of my blog.
A blog:
- to write and practice writing;
- to share ideas;
- to develop reasoning and creativity;
- to have fun.
What to look for: honesty. I write for myself. Meaning: it is done for you the most sincere way I can.
